Thai Issan Restaurant is located in the heart of Petaluma's historic downtown. On the busy corner where east meets west lies a hidden secret, a place like no other.
From the outside you wouldn't know what lies behind its historic exterior. A palace embedded with charm and beauty. The center bar lures you in the establishment, offering a selection of great local wines and sake. This is a wonderful place to meet old friends, sipping on your favorite wine or cocktail. Aside from the bar lies a separate room for traditional Thai dining on the floor with embroidered pillows.
The main dining room is wrapped with Thai silks and gauze that treat the window. The mood is intimate and chill. The music is enchanting and peaceful. You will feel like you are on a tropical island and have found paradise. They have great vegetarian dishes like Geng Kio Wan ( green curry with vegetables) and Pad Makhur ( eggplant with tofu and basil in a black bean sauce). Delicious seafood entrees like Choo Chee Salmon (salmon topped in a red curry peanut sauce with lime leaf and crispy Thai basil) and Goong Hima Parn (Golden fried prawns in a sweet tamarind sauce with pineapples, cashew nut, onion and bell peppers).
Lunch: Sunday - Friday from 11:30am -2:00pm
Dinner: Sunday-Thursday 5-9pm
Friday and Saturday 5-9:30pm
Ultra Lounge: Thursday- Saturday 9pm-1am
